Itinerary

Day 1

Arequipa – Chivay – Condor Cross – San Juan de Chuccho

At 3:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa to begin the journey to the Colca Valley. Upon arrival in Chivay, you will enjoy breakfast before continuing to the Condor Cross Viewpoint, where you will have the opportunity to witness the majestic flight of the Andean condor over one of the deepest canyons in the world.

We will then continue to Cabanaconde, where you will have lunch before starting the trek from Pampa San Miguel. Descending through the spectacular Colca Canyon, you will walk along ancient trails surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, agricultural terraces, and the Colca River until reaching the community of San Juan de Chuccho. There, you will enjoy dinner and spend the night in comfortable family-run lodges.

Day 2

San Juan de Chuccho – Cosñirhua – Malata – Sangalle Oasis

After breakfast, we will continue hiking through the traditional communities of Cosñirhua and Malata, where you will visit a local museum and learn about the traditional process of honey production.

Later, we will arrive at the Sangalle Oasis, a beautiful natural retreat surrounded by mountains and palm trees. You will stay in rustic bungalows, enjoy lunch, and have the afternoon free to relax, explore the surroundings, or unwind in the oasis swimming pools. Dinner and overnight stay at the oasis.

Day 3

Sangalle Oasis – Cabanaconde – Chivay – Arequipa

Early in the morning, we will begin the ascent from the Sangalle Oasis to Cabanaconde, a hike of approximately 3.5 hours. After breakfast, we will board our vehicle and return to Chivay, stopping at the traditional villages of Maca, Achoma, and Yanque, as well as several scenic viewpoints overlooking the valley.

In Chivay, you will have the option to relax in the La Calera Hot Springs before enjoying a buffet lunch (not included). Finally, we will return to Arequipa, stopping at the Patapampa (Volcanoes Viewpoint) and the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where you may observe vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas in their natural habitat. Arrival in Arequipa is scheduled for approximately 4:00 p.m., followed by transfer to your hotel.
